My new apartment is about the size of my last apartment's front room. And I love it. The only thing I would change would be to add 3 more kitchen cabinets and a closet organizer. But other than that this is pretty much perfect.

My living room is now 30% bed.


First rule of new apartments: no ghosts in new apartment.

Calici's passed out on the bed. I am about to follow suit.

Watched some fireworks from a cemetery today.

Josh just moved into a new apartment and can't find his matches. This foils my plan of trying to burn through some sparklers I bought two years ago.

We are going to watch Rope now and eat hummus and pretend like our city is under attack.

Yesterday our work received a deceased TB positive elephant from a zoo in Illinois. It appears we are the only facility in a two state radius that can dispose of 5 tons of elephant. Trade secret: Cold elephant, cold incinerator. You don't want to stick a room temp elephant in a warm incinerator because it won't cook properly. Now you know. At our company meeting someone happened to have this recipe in his wallet: Elephant Soup. That's probably my favorite recipe since pasta kale.

Today we had a large company picnic. And I accidentally everything which was edible.

I am back to my old job of titrating animal serum. It is boring and easy and I almost fell asleep like 10 times.


I wish we at least tested cuter animals. I would get hella stoked for a guinea pig or a koala or like a nice dolphin or something.

Gary and Jenny will be moving back to Michigan with my nephew Brayden! They found out yesterday and they are moving in 2 weeks from 500 miles away. They are gonna be living in Ann Arbor which is close enough for me to visit them all the time and steal their baby.

Perform complex animal husbandry duties in a research environment. Feed, water, and care for animals. Identify and report signs of illness and abnormalities. Administer special diets and maintain feeding records. Receive and house new animals. Coordinate work with others. Euthanize animals.

Hell yeah I applied. They lost me at the very last bit, but other than that it is yes yes and yes.

It is 70 degrees and still winter. Michigan's tricky though. We have pictures of us in three feet of snow on the first day of spring. At summer camp.

Tonight I made kale chips and they were excellent. Just like real chips if you add enough salt and oil. Which I did.
